#IftarWithZalora

Eid Mubarak - Alhamdulilah, the month of Ramadhan has been nothing but a blessing for me. Thank you Muzakkir for inviting me along for the #IftarWithZalora session. I am super stoked for Zalora Autumn / Winter Collection 2017. There was a lot of instant "I want to buy this" moment exchanged between Muzakkir and I. Perks of having the same taste, we can relate instantly. As you can tell from the photo, we are definitely not the only one feeling stoked about the upcoming collection.

This collection, expect a variety of styles which cater a youthful look to sophisticated and elegant look. This year under the 'Raya Collection' we have more choices to choose from as in addition from the last year designers, Zalora has collaborated with a few more new designers this time round for the 'Raya Collection'. My current top two favorites from this year would be from the CalaCara and Lubna's collection. A little side note: I got all 4 Raya outfits from Zalora this year, all thanks to my lovely mom for choosing and buying them for me!

Now moving on to the A/W 2017 Collection, expect more denim, more flares (Yes, we need more flared sleeves and flared bottom, it's never enough!) and more shoes. I'm in love with their fabric quality. I personally look forward to getting my hands on their floral biker jacket and their elegant black lace embroidered Victoria dress which I personally call it the Morticia Addams's dress from the Addams Family.

Before I touch on this photo, can we all take a moment and appreciate the interior design of Zalora's office? Talk about office goals. I would totally hog the high chair and get lost in writing while enjoying the view every now and then. It genuinely feels like stepping into someone's home rather than a workplace to me.

Alright, aside from getting a sneak peek of the collection, the beauty of a small and exclusive event is that it creates a bigger opportunity for you to interact and network with others without feeling rushed and being able to absorb the new content more. It's been a great pleasure having a meaningful conversation with Rayne, the Head of Design Studio for Zalora. Every word that comes out from her is pure glitter & gold. She's full of energy and excitement. Such a down to earth person as well. Extremely passionate and very time she describes a piece of clothing, it just comes to life.

Another amazing person that I managed to spend time conversing with would be Azawi David, from the House Of Divonista. His mind works wonders and I'm grateful to have met him during this event. He is someone that strongly believes and support the locals. He is proud of what he represents. Such a lovely inspirational, motivating person with an added bonus of a down to earth personality.

To top everything off, we had a marvelous full course dinner. Muzakkir and I were both stoked to be seated at the same table as Camira Asrori, a rising local Fashion Stylist for our 3-course meal. Being able to know a little inside scoop on her current project was very exciting as we're both a fan of her work and her style. Her outfit is always on point and I can't get my eyes off her pink heels that day.

What did we had for iftar?

We had Squid Ink Pasta accompanied with prawns and scallops for our appetizer,

a pan seared salmon with mashed potato and asparagus for our main course

and last but not the least we had black forest parfait for our dessert.

In conclusion, this event has been really refreshing and humbling for me and stay tuned as I will be writing about one of the stylist's journey in the Fashion Industry. Have an amazing Raya celebration everyone!
