Heartbeat Collection by Lisa Von Tang opening act really blew me away. It instantly caught my fullest attention the very second the show starts. I remember clearly, they started off by dimming the whole theatre of Singapore's Repertory Theatre and a lovely host came out from the corner and thanked us for being part of their act just by being their audience.
After which she finishes her opening line with, "Close your eyes, don't be afraid. Touch your heart. Feel your heartbeat. Take a deep breath." At that moment, I felt connected right away. I've been told that Lisa Von Tang has a knack for throwing a creative runway show instead of the norm runway concept. Infusing art, music, and fashion altogether. Therefore, I'm honored to have witnessed the spectacular runway show with my own eyes.

As shown above, Lisa's two warriors Hirzi and Munah is serving looks by wearing her new collection. Hirzi, is wearing the vibrant jacquard statement sleeves bomber jacket and pairing it up with LVT men's jogger. On the other hand, Munah, is wearing her signature silk kimono with silk brocade trims paired with a jacquard textured bralette.
The collection "Heartbeat Collection SS18" is more about connecting the traditional culture of her heritage with the western fashion world. The signature colors for this collection would be the fierce Red and powerful black. This collection infuses the sense of playfulness and classiness at the same time.
The whole show gave me a very Victoria Secret Fashion show vibe but in a very Chi Chi's style at one point. As models were strutting down the stage while dancing to the songs that were playing during the show during a certain part of the collection as opposed to just doing a normal serious catwalk. The models were totally immersed with the song and sold the character of the outfit that they are wearing with their serving looks.
Aside from showcasing the Heartbeat Collection, we were entertained by 3 different breath taking performances by the talented Kate March, Ragga Waka and MAS1A. Everyone gave an astounding performance throughout the entire show. At the end of the day, Lisa has successfully set my heart on fire and dream fiercely again.
